Pontiac 215 Inline 6 Cylinder Engine

There is really not much information to be found on the Pontiac 215 inline 6 cylinder engine. It was more of a small 2 year blip on the screen for Pontiac for 1964 and 1965. Most of the 215s were installed in the Pontiac Tempest for people who were trying to avoid any major thrills in their life. Pontiac did produce a 215 V8 engine as well in the early 60s that is often confused with their inline 6. One interesting fact is that the 215 was the first pushrod 6 cylinder engine ever produced by Pontiac which gives it a little room for some notoriety.
